Project: Junk Food Mainstore
Timeline: 1 week
Inspiration: big box retailers like Walmart and Costco
Description: Latte and Radio Bixley approached me with an idea to redesign and reorganize the Junk Food mainstore for better flow and ease of discovery for its audience. I have been a collector of Junk Food items for some time, adding food and interactive items to my builds from the store.
I was deeply honored to have been able to work with Junk Food, and after ideating for a new store design, I quickly presented a mockup of the build and discussed timing, project specs, and material estimates. After coming to a design that felt good, I worked on creating a flow for the store that worked to illuminate the Junk Food products in a way that made discovery familiar and fun. In the end, we came to a Walmart-esque design that is as functional as it is interesting to walk through, with an added coffee shop and deli counter, sections clearly defining featured products, and more. I was really pleased to have been able to work with the creativity of Latte and Radio, and hope that Junk Food customers enjoy the redesign.
